HOW WE GOT STARTED

Growing up on a farm in rural Mississippi, Lee Parish learned from a young age what it meant to work hard and be a man of character. With parents who instilled a strong sense of faith, family and love of community in him and two older brothers who taught him how to be tough, a strong foundation was being built for future success. After college Lee began a career in banking, but quickly realized how much he missed being outdoors, with equipment and building something only limited by the size of his imagination. So, he pivoted and began working in the equipment industry, eventually bringing him to Kubota Tractor Corporation.

While at Kubota his entrepreneurial spirit collided with the industry experience he was gaining. He began to dream of one day owning a dealership. In 2012, Lee left Kubota to turn that dream into reality and founded Parish Tractor Company in Poplarville, Mississippi. Coming back to his Mississippi roots with a deeper understanding of the industry and what it was going to take to be a successful dealer, Lee began digging in, developing a strong business all the while helping his wife raise their young family together.

Today, Parish Tractor continues to grow, boasting hundreds of employees, and multiple locations, and has been recognized as one of the best places to work and the largest privately held businesses in Mississippi. The company is now much larger than its founder, but it continues to operate under the principles etched in Lee's heart, honoring the Lord, helping people prosper, providing outstanding service, and ensuring communities thrive.
